Pink bellied clouds
sing a duet to moonshine
as he pulls the sunbeams down.
oo-oo
Birds all fall silent
like mourners who find rest
and night begins to settle down.
Dearest day, you've left us cold
once warmed by you, now all alone.
In this night we shiver in the cold.
Twinkling like diamonds
the stars begin shining
trading our sorrows for gold.
oo-oo
Satellites spinning
makes arcs on the ceiling
in patterns which tales have known.
Dearest day you've left us cold
our eyes went black as you grew old.
